Featuring the mural I was commissioned to paint in 2023 for The Godfrey Hotel. This artwork showcases the vibrant and historical culture of Corktown by honoring the Original Tigers Stadium decorated with the slogan “Detroit’s Oldest Neighborhood”. There’s an aesthetic of sophistication and community pride that showcases Corktown as an inclusive place which is ran by the deeds and passions of its citizens. Along with creating a piece that has a feeling of resilience, the work I manifest also wields an aesthetic of elegance and strength, my style of line-work and use of color adds an “epic” flair to the artwork that will allow it to provide a grand welcoming gesture to those who see & enjoy it.
